Do you have genealogical information, letters, diary pages, stories, anecdotes, photos, etc., about Catawba Valley potter Daniel Seagle, or the Seagle “School” of potters (i.e., James Franklin “Frank” Seagle, Daniel Holly, John Goodman & Isaac Lefevers)?
Have you attended the Seagle Family Reunions in the Catawba Valley (or been involved in planning the event)?
This tintype was among the images in a leatherbound edition of the "Seagle Clan" that came on the auction block in 2008 from Catawba County, N.C.
Could this be an image of James Franklin Seagle? It's possible, since tintypes were introduced in the U.S. in 1856.
If you recognize this image by name, please contact www.danielseagle.com by completing the e-mail contact boxes on the right of this page.
